4. What does T+2 trade settlement mean

By convention Exchange Clearing Houses typically clear and settle share trades two business days after a trade, or T+2 (trade date plus two days). On settlement day, payment of funds is made by the buyers clearer and received by the seller’s clearer coupled with the delivery of shares from the seller to the buyer.
